New Starter Zone, The Lost Isle, to Open October 13th -

En Masse Entertainment has announced that the new TERA starter zone called The Lost Isle will be live in the game beginning Tuesday, October 13th. The Lost Isle will replace the current starter zone called Island of Dawn. The new location offers players a more accelerated path to level 11, according to the developer blog on the TERA site.

In addition, the update will bring several other new additions:

  • the character creation process has been updated to allow players to "mix and match races and classes" on a single screen and characters can be moved around
  • the Gridiron Academy is a new PvP battleground for non-max-level players and is a 40-64 version of the level 65 map that comes with Vanguard quests and loot
  • Returning Hero is a new feature for players with high level characters in order to give a boost to them if they have been away from the game for at least a month. The first three days on return will allow players to see a Returning Hero tab with information about class skills and to upgrade their gear (1 character per server).
