Loot Box Changes are Coming to TERA

Being replaced by Modular Chests

Loot box changes are set to arrive soon in TERA. Here’s the lowdown.

The news comes in a post by the team, which cites April 28 as the date for the “systemic refresh” of the current loot box system. In short, the refresh is set to totally remove any guaranteed items and random consumables from loot boxes, beginning with the new Dyable Memorial Dress Loot Box.

In their stead, the team will replace those items with Modular Chests which will include items which can be used by any player. Additionally, percentages will be displayed for the chances of you pulling a chase item in order to help you make, “informed purchase decisions.”

It looks like there will be a total of seven modular chests. Each chest is set to contain consumables and additional items popular at the time. Any chest of the same name will contain the same items. They are also stackable, and can be traded if you wish.

The team states that this is so that players can now place any unwanted chests onto the trade broker immediately. The goal here is to free up inventory. You can view the chests and their contents here.
