TERA

The folks at En Masse have published a new letter on the official site acknowledging the launch of the Korean version of TERA. In addition, devs have revealed the road they'll travel bringing the North American version to beta: Next month's first live event, a second event a couple of months later, then, finally, a multi-part beta cycle. This plan appears to put the beta cycle on track for summer deployment.

The TERA development team, En Masse and Frogster have released eight new videos about each class to be included in the game. The videos let fans discover special class features which have not yet been shown in any detail. Check them out at the official TERA site.

The latest edition of the TERA Pegasus Express has been published on the official site. This time, developers took time to answer fan questions about the Castanic race. Questions cover a wide-range of topics including hair and horns, why Castanics take -50% fall damage, body markings, and why Castanics aren't a pale-skinned race.

The En Masse TERA team was very busy last week with site updates and lots of great information about the game set to launch later this year. Fans have new specifics about the Baraka and Popori races and about the Archer class. In addition, the team has tackled the specifics of how a game is 'Westernized'.

Now that the TERA open beta has begun in Korea, speculation has run rampant about beta status in North America and Europe. Fans are also wondering about the game's release in the West and more. According to a new post on the En Masse TERA forums, players can look forward to a "community play event" before summer.

En Masse has posted a new blog with community questions about the Sorcerer class. The topics range from spell casting to glyphs to buffs and crowd control, the Q&A is fairly extensive so be sure to swing over to the official site to check it out.

With the complete overhaul of the Korean TERA site, BlueHole Studios released a new trailer in celebration of the site and the announcement that the open beta in Korea will begin on January 11, 2011. For North American fans, En Masse Entertainment clarified that the 1-11-11 date is ONLY for Korea and that other localized beta events will be announced at a later date.

EnMasse and the BlueHole dev teams have released a zone fly through video featuring the Valley of Titans. The zone preview gives fans a look at the denizens and locations in the Valley of Titans. Enjoy!

The TERA-Online site has been updated with a trio of great new features. The first is an interactive map that places information about the important locations within the world of TERA at a player's fingertips. The second update is a new Pegasus Express that delves into community questions about the Priest class. The third update features a pair of screenshots of the tree creatures called ghilliedhus.

TERA fan site, TERAFans.com, is reporting that the Korean open beta of the game is slated to begin in January 2011. The forum post has a translated version of the open beta schedule. Open beta news for North America, Oceania and Europe has not yet been announced.

Frogster and TERA developers have a new trailer from last week's G-Star 2010 convention in South Korea. The TERA trailer opens by taking the viewer through the vast landscapes, landmarks, and cities in the world of TERA. Transported to a town square, we see Samael grinning as he is being elected the new lord of the TERA world.

En Masse Entertainment has revealed new information about achievements, the Amani race and the Lancer. Achievements include exploration- and quest-based achievements, PvP achievements, statistical achievements, and social achievements. The Lancer is a formidable opponent that charges straight to the heart of the enemy with Lance Charge and Onslaught.

En Masse has sent out some spooky screenshots to celebrate next weekend's Halloween holiday. The screens features characters duded up in their eerie best as well as some scary looking environments.
