Remedy has finally pulled the veil off its long in-development multiplayer title, showcasing FBC: Firebreak today during Microsoft's Xbox Partner Preview event.
Alan Wake 2 developer Remedy Entertainment and Tencent announced this week via press release that the studio has cancelled 'Codename Kestrel'Â in a move designed to narrow its focus to other games in its portfolio.
Remedy Entertainment has partnered with Tencent on a free to play, co-op PvE shooter with the current code name of Vanguard. The game, which is based on a Remedy original IP, is currently in development for PC and consoles using Unreal Engine. Tencent will also get worldwide development and publishing deal for a mobile version.
In a press release, Remedy Entertainment and 505 Games announced the plans to co-publish an upcoming spin-off to their action adventure single player game, Control. However, the spin-off is being planned as a multiplayer game, and the two companies have also made plans to make a "bigger-budget Control" in the future.
