The Solstice event is back in Destiny 2, offering some challenges and rewards that bridge the gap until Echoes Act 3 releases. 

Bungie's latest round of major layoffs and a revamped focus on Destiny 2 and Marathon, brought up some questions about the projects that were left behind. One of those, Payback, a spinoff of Destiny 2, was canceled -months ago.

This week in Destiny 2, the developers brought several updates to the forefront, including PvP Strike Team updates, Exotic class item drop tuning, and an Art Show that has been in the works for over 10 years. 

Destiny 2 Echoes Act 2 dropped earlier this week, continuing the Echoes story, adding new weapons, and more.

Bungie is preparing to release Destiny 2's The Final Shape's second episode, Echoes: Act 2, on July 16th.  The team streamed a look at the new content, improvements, and changes in line with player feedback, including releasing all of the story at once.

Bungie has given us a look at what we can expect from the future of Destiny 2 including new stories that are in the works. 

With The Final Shape now out, the next step in Destiny 2 is here, with the opening of the new Salvation's Edge raid and the bragging rights of World First. 

Destiny 2's long-awaited and much-anticipated expansion, The Final Shape, has launched today, and players are experiencing long queues to try to hop into the MMOFPS.

Bungie has revealed that Destiny 2 will be collaborating with Wizards of the Coast and Dungeons & Dragons after the release of The Final Shape.
