Crystal Dynamics has been teasing their post-launch characters even before the game launched, and now, three months after launching, Marvel's Avengers has added the first new Avenger on the team. Kate Bishop will be joining the game along with a new Operation dedicated just for her story.

The latest Marvel's Avengers War Table blog essentially toed the line, teasing upcoming releases while staying true to this week's mild mission rollover. Fortunately, for Crystal Dynamics, next week cashes in on the highly hyped and long-awaited content release, including the new character, Kate Bishop, while hopefully bringing some necessary changes to end game.

Crystal Dynamics has released their State of the Game for Marvel's Avengers that they had mentioned was on the way, and would answer a lot of questions players have had over the direction the game is headed in. Championed by Scott Amos, the Crystal Dynamics Studio Head, the blog also goes over many "areas of impact" - essentially issues the game has had that Crystal Dynamics has been working to improve.

Yesterday Crystal Dynamics rolled out a new patch with a bunch of bug fixes, quality of life features, and increased rewards. In addition to the fixes and features, new content rolls out today in the form of Tachyon Rifts and a new outpost known as the Shield Substation Zero outpost.

Marvel's Avengers recently released patch 1.3 that was slated to fix at least one thousand issues, including several that prevented players from progressing in the story mission and some additional Avengers Initiative mission chains. It also added some new content, the Mega Hive. In the aftermath of the patch, we're left wondering, with so many "fixes" why are things getting worse?

Marvel's Avengers is in a unique predicament. Crystal Dynamics, the developer behind the game, faces Infinity War level odds at delivering a premiere, iconic experience, that resonates with fans, and engages gamers, with an intellectual property that is widely beloved, harshly judged, and ever changing. Fans can be a game's greatest champions, or their harshest critics, but as this review will attest, sometimes a fan can be both.

In the latest Marvel's Avengers War Table, a hulk-load of information was released including some beta rewards and the reveal of a new playable character, Hawkeye. For players that will be playing one of the several upcoming beta tests in August, the War Table has provided quite a bit of information as to what you can look forward to.
