It seems that a buggy launch of Cyberpunk 2077 was not enough to prevent CD Projekt RED executives from being the recipient of substantial bonuses, according to recent reporting from Bloomberg's Jason Schreier.

We reported a January 26th that the first major update, Patch 1.1 brough plenty of fixes and one major bug that prevented players from continuing the story with Takemura. In today's hotfix, CD Projekt Red fixed the issue, and restored randomization along with it.

Yesterday it was reported by a Polish Business Newspaper Dziennik.pl, that CD Projekt Red has the Polish Government investigating their problematic Cyberpunk 2077 launch problems. This is just one more issue that CDPR has had to deal with in addition to a lawsuit from investors, Sony pulling the game from their stores, and most recently, a substantial decline in players on Steam.

According to a report provided in an announcement directly from CD Projekt Red's investors site, sales data collected from physical and digital distributors puts estimated sales of Cyberpunk 2077 at over 13 million copies sold as of December 20th.

When we say the hits just keep on coming for Cyberpunk 2077, we're not talking about a Nomad with Gorilla Arms. The latest issues levied at CD Projekt Red further spells more trouble as a class action lawsuit is reportedly on the table from investors, while GOG warns players to limit their items, or lose their save games.

In a statement from Sony, Cyberpunk 2077 will be removed from the Playstation Store and full refunds will be given. There is no telling whether or not the game will return to the Playstation Store at a later date, as it is currently slated as removed "until further notice."

Loving or hating Cyberpunk 2077 might come down to what platform you're playing it on, but according to a recent CD Projekt Red investor call, not only are they to blame, but they willfully ignored the signals that the game was largely misrepresented on last generation consoles.

I've made several mistakes when it comes to playing CD Projekt Red's brand spanking new title Cyberpunk 2077. With over 50 hours played so far, I've killed where I should have negotiated, I've stolen when I should have bought, and I've accidentally had dalliances with male and female "night workers" on at least two separate occasions, but the one mistake I didn't make, is playing Cyberpunk 2077 on GeForce Now.

The platform is still missing core features that it was sold on, only recently adding the ability to livestream to YouTube this past week. Games are still, by and large, not native 4K or 60fps. However, with the launch of Cyberpunk and its, frankly, great presentation and performance, I'm reminded why the idea of Stadia was such an intriguing one.
