As part of New World: Aeternum's October launch, endgame PC players will be able to check out the MMO's first ever 10-player raid, Hive of Gorgons. During a preview event last week, Bradford had the chance to go hands-on and learned first hand that Amazon Games wasn't joking around when it built this new encounter.

During a recent press trip to Amazon's Irvine studio, we had the chance to check out the new PvP zone coming to New World: Aeternum. And despite not being a huge PvP player, Bradford came away excited to try it more when the MMO relaunches on PC.

New World: Aeternum's open beta concluded recently, and Amazon Games Orange County is sharing some stats from the test, including the news that the Sandwurm wiped all of the very few, brave souls who deigned to take it on.

Amazon Games' CEO Christoph Hartman opened up a bit about his company's upcoming Lord of the Rings MMO, stating in an interview that the team is still trying to "find the hook" to differentiate it from other games from the IP.

New World: Aeternum, the upcoming console release and PC revamp of Amazon's MMO has certainly drawn some heat as a vague announcement has fans worried it's no longer an MMO, but rather an ARPG.
