Stormgate

Stormgate is an upcoming RTS game rich in the genre's tradition. Developed by Frost Giant Games, which is made up of developers who worked on some of the most iconic RTS games in history, including StarCraft II, Command & Conquer: Generals 2, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne , and more, Stormgate aims to recapture the magic of one of PC gaming's most enduring genres.

Stormgate takes place hundreds of years in Earth’s future, in an all-new post-apocalyptic game setting where science fiction and fantasy collide. Players will harvest resources, build bases, train units, and command mighty armies in epic battles. Stormgate also breaks down barriers to entry and aims to make RTS more approachable by providing innovative player-assist tools and emphasizing social and cooperative play.

KEY FEATURES:

• A New Science Fantasy Setting: Stormgate is set on a post-apocalyptic Earth, hundreds of years in our future. Written by Frost Giant Studios, including New York Times bestselling author Micky Neilson (with early help from Warcraft and StarCraft co-creator Chris Metzen), the Stormgate campaign will feature new chapters released regularly as part of seasonal updates that will include balance changes, new units, cosmetic content, and new esports seasons.
• Star-studded Cast: Breathing life into this new universe are Stormgate’s cast of voice actors, including Simu Liu (Shang-Chi, Barbie, Kim’s Convenience) and Chris Metzen, as well as its soundtrack, which features Tracy W. Bush (StarCraft, Warcraft III, World of Warcraft), Nga Weng Chio (Borderlands feature film), and Frank Klepacki (Command & Conquer, Dune II).
• Unmatched Gameplay: Powered by SnowPlay, Frost Giant’s custom simulation technology, and built in Unreal Engine 5, Stormgate features crisp, responsive gameplay with smart pathfinding and rewarding unit control that is 3X as responsive as StarCraft II. Stormgate’s globally distributed server network and Rollback technology bring together players like never before.
• The First Truly Social RTS: Stormgate features several ways to play with friends, including a 3vE co-op game mode, where three players band together to take on AI opponents on a variety of objective-based maps. This mode will feature meta progression, unique and powerful Hero characters, and ways to customize the Hero’s capabilities. A team-based 3v3 mode will be coming later in development.
• The Editor: The in-game Editor will give mapmakers and modders access to the same tools Frost
  Giant is using to build Stormgate, in a creator-friendly ecosystem where creativity and effort will be rewarded. The Editor will be introduced some time after the initial Early Access release.
