Star Wars: The Old Republic Breaks Down The Changes Coming To Operatives And Scoundrels

As Onslaught approaches for Star Wars: The Old Republic, the team behind the MMO has been steadily detailing the major changes coming to each class. This time around it's the Operatives and Scoundrels.

Like the previous updates, the blog post details the new Advanced Class's new ability, as well as new set bonuses and Tactical Items.

For the Operative, the new ability is Tactical Overdrive, which will "reset the cooldown of Stim Boost, Recuperating Nanotech, Lethal Strike, recharges Exhilarate, and increases your master by 15% for 12 seconds." Additionally the post details the Tacticals and Set Bonuses for the different Operatives, such as making a Medicine Operative more challenging to take down, especially in PvP, by boosting their healing burst potential.

For the Scoundrel, the new ability is Hot Streak, which "Resets the cooldown of Pugnacity, Kolto Cloud, Blood Boiler, Point Blank Shot, recharges Scamper, and increases your Mastery by 15% for 12 seconds."  The Set Bonuses and Tacticals can also boost a Scoundrel's fighting ability, such as the Scrapper's new set bonus, Tactician.

Let’s take the Sawbones Scoundrel scenario from above and see how a Scrapper Scoundrel handles the same situation. Rather than being in the middle of a group brawl, Scrapper Scoundrels are normally better versed for one-on-one fights or picking off opponents. Our clever Scoundrel can take advantage of this preconception with an interesting Set Bonus and Tactical combination.

Set Bonus: Tactician

(2 Piece Bonus) +2% Mastery (4 Piece Bonus) Hot Streak resets the cooldown of Tendon Blast and Triage. (6 Piece Bonus) Upper Hand gets an additional stack. Having an Upper Hand stack increases your damage and healing by 3%.
