The Star Wars: The Old Republic site has been updated with the name and release window for the next expansion of the game. We know little else other than it is called Knights of the Eternal Throne and is scheduled for Fall of 2016. We will keep you posted as more is revealed.

Star Wars: The Old Republic players will be able to progress the ongoing story found in Knights of the Fallen Empire with today's release of The Gemini Deception. Players will be taking the fight to the Eternal Empire alongside the Droid Scorpio.

Bioware and Lucasfilm are inviting all players to check into Star Wars: The Old Republic all summer long during an epic struggle between forces of the Light and forces of the Dark to win control of the galaxy. Players will be able to earn event-specific rewards themed around Dark or Light and can help their side become stronger via companion skills for the side dominating.

The next chapter in the Star Wars: The Old Republic - Knights of the Fallen Empire is being readied for deployment in late June. Early Access will begin on June 28th, with all players ready to join the fray on June 30th.

Star Wars: The Old Republic devs have released the latest chapter update to the game called Mandalore's Revenge. Outlanders will finally be able to confront Emperor Arcann and will enlist Shae Vizla and the Eternal Fleet. Subscribers can access the new content as part of their membership.

Bioware has announced that Star Wars: The Old Republic: Knights of the Fallen Empire - Mandalore's Revenge will be available to those subscribed by May 30th starting June 1st and to all SWTOR players on June 3rd. New players can sign up for Knights of the Fallen Empire during May and receive a free trial of Chapter One: The Hunt. New accounts activated by May 30th will also receive a Level 60 character.

We recently caught up with Star Wars: The Old Republic lead designer Charles Boyd to chat about the current state of Knights of the Fallen Empire, the future of episodic story content in SWTOR, and how the game fits into the overall Star Wars universe under Disney.

I expected things to pick back up in Chapter XIII, and they did, but not in a way that advanced the main story. Instead, what we got was essentially a complete filler chapter that takes us on an underworld adventure and reunites us with a couple of fan favorite companions in Gault & Vette. It’s filler, but it’s good filler.

Star Wars: The Old Republic players will have an opportunity to celebrate Star Wars Day on May 4th as well as participate in other celebratory activities. Between now and May 4th, players who log in can claim the Astromech Droid pet that will be delivered on May 5th. Players can also take part in the Eternal Championship Solo Speedrun from May 3rd to 17th that could see players heading to Europe to meet up with the Bioware team at a special Star Wars event.

Bioware has posted a brief look at the weapon tuning process, a way for players to customize their weaponry with nifty visual flair.

Bioware's Ben Irving has gone on record via the Star Wars: The Old Republic forum to soothe player concerns about whether or not the game would receive ongoing support. Irving wrote, "The answer is absolutely yes."
