The PlayStation Blog has been updated with the announcement that Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness will be released for PlayStation 4 in Europe on July 1, 2016. The North American release was previously announced for June 28th and last week's Japanese release took place on March 31st.
The blog goes on with several interesting points:
- the game takes place where the others in the series did but prior game play experiences are not needed
- players will have the ability to have up to 7 ally characters working cooperatively
- players can switch at will between English and Japanese voice overs
- all characters were designed by "akiman" from the Street Fighter series
- Motoi Sakuraba, composer of Dark Souls and Tales of series scored the game
