In an interview with Twinfinite, new details were revealed about the upcoming Cutlass Red ship, as well what it means to be a space medic. Star Citizen's John Crewe sat down with the gaming website to chat about the upcoming changes to the Alpha.

The upcoming search and rescue variant of the Cutlass, the Drake Cutlass Red, will be coming to Star Citizen's Alpha 3.81 soon, and lets you take on the mantle of space medic in the new medical gameplay coming to the space sim.

In the interview, Crewe details the upcoming medical gameplay which will be present in Star Citizen  with the Cutlass Red, such as healing wounds using beds on the Cutlass Red itself, healing your wounds over time. Additionally players can set their respawn points to the bed in the Red. The full extent of medical gameplay in Star Citizen is yet to be determined as the team plans to iterate on it once the feature is live in the Alpha, but for players who are interested in being a space medic, it sounds like a good start.
