Star Citizen's Alpha 3.9: Locked Up and Loaded Update is Now Available

The Locked Up and Loaded update for Alpha 3.9 of Star Citizen has been released today . Here are the details.

The update is set to bring with it new missions, new gameplay systems, new locations, and more. For example, the Klescher Prison system is a new addition, along with new criminal and bounty missions. A new landing zone is also introduced. Features like a new unified friends list make the cut, including weapon attachment UI, quality of life improvements, and a new Esperia Prowler ship.

Chris Roberts provided the following statement in the accompanying press release,

“Our universe continues to evolve and grow, and through the release of Alpha 3.9: Locked Up & Loaded, our players will have the ability to experience more socially driven adventures fueled by exciting new gameplay additions and technology enhancements.”

He continued, discussing how the launch today ties into the larger vision and delivery of Star Citizen,

“Today’s launch is part of our continued commitment to deliver notable updates on a consistent basis that greatly improve the overall experience in Star Citizen, and we continue to be humbled by the overwhelming support from our active players and community who contribute in making Star Citizen a success.”
