Paladins and SMITE players have helped Hi-Rez Studios make a contribution to hurrican relief efforts by raising over $76,000. The donation of funds contributed by the community were made to the Red Cross to support its ongoing efforts to assist those affected by this summer's devastating duo of hurricanes.
This is the most recent charity fund raising event that brings the community's total to nearly $1,500,000 donated to a variety of causes over the years.
“Over the years our players have demonstrated how charity through gaming can change lives,” said Stew Chisam, President of Hi-Rez Studios. “The $76,000 raised by SMITE and Paladins players will aid relief efforts in Houston, and we are thankful to our players for the generosity they have shown in support of great causes.”
One way funds were raised was through the purchase of the "Houston Flood Relief" package in SMITE.
