Well, this is what it all boils down to, the best team from North America, Enemy; and the best team from the European Union, Epsilon. I have to be honest, I think the best team in North America is Cloud 9, and I think the REAL final was yesterday, when Epsilon squeaked out a three games to two victory over Cloud 9, but the games have to be played, so let’s see how it turned out.

Two very interesting match-ups in today’s Semi-finals, both pitting a North American team against an European Union team.

The final match of the day will pit two EU teams against each other, Epsilon, who went 27-1 during the SPL Fall Split, and Fnatic, who are the longest tenured team in the Smite Pro Leagues. These two teams are long-time scrim partners, and know each other exceedingly well. Having said that, I am sure they both have saved some pocket strats for just such an occasion as this, and we will see those tricks of the trade shortly.

Today was Day One here in Atlanta for the Smite World Championship, otherwise known as the Placement round. Two teams were eliminated today, leaving eight teams to move on. Cloud 9 (NA) and Paradigm (EU) have byes in the first round, so there are eight games to be played, and teams need to lose two to be eliminated.

During this weekend's SMITE World Championship Tournament, Hi-Rez Studios has revealed the highly anticipated overhaul to the Joust map. According to MMOGames.com, the new map has a gorgeous look based on Chinese mythology. The map is introduced through a new trailer with Sun Wukong walking players through the new content including objectives and camps.

During this weekend's SMITE World Championships, Hi-Rez announced that the much requested Japanese Pantheon will begin appearing in game, starting with Amaterasu who will join the fray on January 12th for PC users and in February for XBox One players.

Hey there Smite fans! Once again, Hi-Rez has graciously invited MMORPG to cover their Smite World Championship, held at the Cobb Energy Center, in Atlanta, Georgia, from January 7th -10th. If last year’s SWC is anything to judge by, Smite fans will be in for quite an event.

Hi-Rez Studios has sent out a word that tickets are now on sale for the first ever X-Box One SMITE World Championships. The tournament will feature 10 teams from 5 different regions competing for $1M in prizes. The event will take place from January 7 to 10th, 2016, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Hi-Rez Studios has revealed a milestone in the lifetime of SMITE. Since inception, over ten million unique players around the world have played the game. To celebrate the big news, one of the original heroes has been reactivated and will be rewarded to all players who win ten PvP matches in August.
