This year the SMITE 2018 Odyssey is called The Fall of War and follows the events that have been detailed in the comics. To celebrate the second part of the campaign, a new video has been released to provide some background on Fenrir as he prepares to lay siege to Asgard.

Over the next eight episodes of The Caster, Hi-Rez Studios will be presenting a weekly reality show that allows competitors from "a wide variety of backgrounds to demonstrate their abilities in the world of eSports commentary". Contestants are vying for $10,000 in cash and an opportunity to head to the Hi-Rez Expo in January to try their hand at live casting events throughout the convention.

Paladins and SMITE players have helped Hi-Rez Studios make a contribution to hurrican relief efforts by raising over $76,000. The donation of funds contributed by the community were made to the Red Cross to support its ongoing efforts to assist those affected by this summer's devastating duo of hurricanes.

The SMITE team has added a new 'Adventure' to the game today with the release of The Trials of King Heracles. It is considered a "cooperative RPG" feature within SMITE and offers groups of three a chance to venture through a dungeon and to work cooperatively.

A new god has joined the SMITE Pantheon in the form of Da Ji, the Nine-Tailed Fox. To celebrate her release, a new video exploring Da Ji's lore as well as her SMITE game abilities.

The latest god to join the SMITE pantheon has arrived in the form of Kuzenbo, king of the kappa. Hi-Rez has put together a new trailer to give a bit of Kuzenbo's legend in mythology as well as a great look at the skills and abilities that he brings to bear in SMITE.

During this week's Hi-Rez Expo, it was revealed that the next SMITE god to join the game is none other than The Morrigan, the Phantom Queen. She will be joining the fray after the deployment of patch 3.25.
