Nike, the goddess of victory, has been added to the ever-growing pantheon in SMITE. Nike is a support hero who can buff the entire team based on the number of victories achieved throughout the match.

The holidays have arrived in SMITE with the addition of Fafnir's Wonderland, a way for players to take part in fifteen new encounters in both easy and hard modes. Each version has its own rules and requirements for completion. There is a new Fafnir's Wonderland achievement to be earned as well as Odyssey Points and the Cutesy Avatar Chest roll at the fifth tier.

SMITE has been updated with the Arbiter of the Damned content expansion that brings the Egyptian god Thoth to the game. The patch also brings a number of new skins for the SMITE 2017 Odyssey and the 2017 SWC Digital Loot Pack that comes with skins, effects and emotes.

Hi-Rez Studios has announced the release of the newest SMITE god to be added to the pantheon. Camazotz, Deadly God of Bats comes to the game with a passive Lifesteal and Healing ability along with a powerful Screech and the command of a squadron of Vampire Bats among other abilities. The SMITE community is reaching out in tangible ways to the victims of recent and catastrophic floods in Louisiana. SMITE players raised over $36,000 for flood relief efforts, bringing the total revenue generated for charity to $700,000 over the years.

SMITE fans will be able to enjoy a weekend of tournament play with this weekend's Epsilon Invitational LAN taking place on August 13-14. A special skin went up for sale recently with $1 contributed to the prize pool that now totals $26,247. The four best SMITE teams from North America and Europe will be on hand in the HiRez Twitch.tv Channel.

The Roman goddess Terra, the Earth Mother, has been added to SMITE. Considered a protective guardian character, Terra anchors the Summer of SMITE that celebrates the Olympics with a new map called the Great Games as well as a series of new skins, achievements, Pool Party Jing Wei, Floaticorn Ward and the F. Announcer Pack bonus item.

Hi-Rez has released the Mid-Season Patch, a significant update, for SMITE that brings the newest member of the pantheon, Erlang Shen, into the game and kicks off the Summer of SMITE event. In addition, a number of gameplay changes have been implemented including changes to passives and some new items.

PlayStation 4 SMITE fans have little time left to wait. Hi-Rez Studios has sent brief word that the official launch date for the SMITE PlayStation 4 version is now scheduled for Tuesday, May 31st.

SMITE players can now take advantage of a new in-game feature by grabbing the Viking Invasion Pass. Players can take part in special Viking-themed quests to earn 'battle-hardened' versions of Storm Jarl Chaac and Blood Jarl Kali.

Hi-Rez Studios and Dark Horse Comics have announced that a new graphic novel based on SMITE will be available in late December 2016. Called SMITE: The Pantheon War, the graphic novel will be created by John Jackson Miller (Star Wars, Mass Effect), cowriter Jack Banish, and artist Eduardo Francisco.

Hi-Rez has sent word that tomorrow marks the beginning of the Spring Fling Charity event from the company's Georgia studios. All proceeds gained will be used to assist SMITE player David "Allied" Hance in his fight against cancer. The event will take place in the SMITE Twitch.tv channel beginning at 10:00 am Pacific / 1:00 pm Eastern tomorrow.

Hi-Rez streamer Brandon 'DM Brandon' Nance has left the company after ranting to a donor about his attempted suicide. The viewer had made a $5 donation to Nance and indicated that watching his streams had helped him overcome a suicide attempt. After that, Nance went on a tirade about his controversial views on the subject.
