The Skyforge site has been updated with new information and a new trailer to reveal another of the game's locations, Eskenian Peninsula.

My.com and Obsidian Entertainment have announced that the fourth and final closed beta test for Skyforge has officially begun. The test is scheduled to run through Monday, June 29th. Players will have the opportunity to check out the Knight and Alchemist classes during the event.

My.com and Obsidian Entertainment have announced that the next Skyforge Closed Beta event will run from Jun 23rd through June 29th. Players will gain access to two more classes: The Knight and the Alchemist.

According to a forum post on the Skyforge site, it is very possible that open beta will hit sometime in July. According to Community Manager 'Spunky', there will be one more closed beta event prior to the commencement of the open beta.

My.com and Obsidian Entertainment have revealed the latest playable class for Skyforge. This time, the Kinetic takes center stage. Kinetics are ranged damage dealers with a high mobility rate. They can deal high amounts of damage or control the battlefield with powerful AoE attacks or controlling effects.

The Skyforge site has been updated with a new interactive panorama that features a look at the Veines zone. Similar to Google Street View, users can move the camera around a static point on the ground to get a look at the area.

The latest Skyforge developer diary has been published that details anomalies, high level adventures for up to five players. Each player will need to be a god, though not necessarily in a Pantheon. Party assembly can happen in a place called Tessa's Sanctuary where teleportation to an anomaly happens.

Obsidian Entertainment, Allods Team and My.com have released a new Skyforge developer diary to talk about special worldwide events called Invasions. Participation in invasions can see players scoring some amazing gear, costumes and items to enhance players' powers and abilities. Invasions can last months and have the potential to reshape the game world.

Several members of the Skyforge team will be on hand this Friday to show off the Daren Facility dungeon and the Slayer playable class. The event will take place at 11:30 am Pacific / 2:30 pm Eastern in the Skyforge Twitch channel.

The third closed beta phase for Skyforge is now underway. CBT #3 will last longer than the first two, running all the way until May 13th.

The Skyforge team has just posted notification that the next closed beta event will kick off on Wednesday, April 22nd. A new round of beta invites is scheduled to be sent out as well to broaden the tester pool so keep an eye on your mailbox.

During this Friday's Twitch.tv broadcast, the Skyforge team will be taking the opportunity to show off the next playable class in the roster, the Necromancer. During the event, Community Manager Michael "Spunky" Dunaway and other members of the team will be taking on the Daren Facility as part of the Necro showcase to show off its power against the undead.

The Skyforge site has been updated with a new developer blog to lay out another component of end game play. Called "Distortions", these special events become available after players have unlocked their divine forms and if Pantheons have access to a special piece of equipment called an Analyzer. Using the Analyzer on the tactical globe in the Divine Observatory, groups will be able to see special distortions marked on the map.
