Release 38 Features New Content & Rebuilt Locations

Shroud of the Avatar backers will be able to take part in Release 38 that the team calls one of the "larger releases" in the game's development history. Players can look forward to rebuilt locations, including "huge strides forward on multiple scenes". Canyon Siege has also been added to the rotation as well as Blood Bay to the PvP scene.

'Harvest' Zone Shines in Autumnal Glory

The Shroud of the Avatar site has been updated with a new look at the Harvest zone, a location filled with agriculture and loosely based on New England in the fall. Harvest is based on a template (Forest 01) that has had cosmetic changes to terrain, foliage and buildings to reflect an autumn theme.

A Shroud of Confusion

Richard Garriott’s Shroud of the Avatar recently saw the final character wipe and the rush for lot claims was conducted. While the game is still in development, we decided this to be the right time for a first review – after all you have to purchase the game if you want to play and progression is now permanent on the servers. Star Citizen Cross Promotional Items Revealed

Fans of Shroud of the Avatar and Star Citizen can now take part in a cross-promotional package of goodies between the two games. For Shroud players, both a $65 Star Citizen Aeronaut Helmet Starter Bundle and a $400 Star Citizen Airship City Home are available. The latter can float over a city lot as a home and allowing nearly all ground space to be available for other items.

Release 32 Playthrough with RipperX

RipperX jumps into Shroud of the Avatar Release 32 for some Gameplay impressions and a preview of what's to come. Release 32 successfully launched yesterday, July 28, with thousands of backers downloading, patching, and logging in for the Final Wipe and Lot Selection! Lords of the Manor are still claiming today and Dukes will begin claiming this weekend.

It appears that Richard "Lord British" Garriott is selling vials of his blood on eBay for about $5,000. Buyers not only get the privilege of owning a piece of Lord British, but also get a slew of in-game items for his current project Shroud of the Avatar.
