According to a post on the UbiSoft forums, the Shadowbane servers recently came under a serious attack. Although there were no details pertaining to the extent of the attack and whether if will affect anyone's characters.
UPDATE: Apparently the attack was caused by a "client side bug" generated from several players. There does not appear to be any threat of data or character loss at this time...whew!
