Rare is back with another edition of the Sea of Thieves Inn-side Story, this time detailing how the team is working to create a unique multiplayer experience that is friendly, both to those who love that type of experience and to those who've maybe become jaded over the years.
Some of the multiplayer ideas shared in the video include:
- more welcoming with lower barrier of entry
- no friendly fire, rather a "crew bond" is sacred and shared
- each player contributes equally
- small 1- and 2-player ships that leads to the larger multiplayer experience (coming to alpha soon)
- a communication system that doesn't require voice, though that's available
- problematic crew members can be voted into the brig...you can even vomit on them...
