The Rift site has been updated with a note from the Gamigo team to announce to the community that Rift Prime will be closing down on March 31st. No explanation is given for the closure. You may remember that Rift Prime is, or was, a progression server that started with "vanilla" and would gradually unlock content over time. Character transfers will be completed by April 7th.
Player characters will initially be placed on the Reclaimer server that is currently a Trial Only Server. From there, transfer to other US live shards will be possible. At the moment, Gamigo does "not support character transfers between the US and EU environments".
All accounts who have at least one character who reached level 50 on Prime will be able to claim the following on live once character/credit transfers have been completed (Can be claimed once):
- Level 65 Character Boost Pack
- 1 million loyalty
