The Rift forum has a new post by Community Team Member 'Ocho' that lays out some fairly significant changes coming to the Patron Rewards Program.

Rift Executive Producer Chris Junior has penned the latest state of the game letter on the official site. In it, 'Archonix' thanks the community for supporting Rift and for being an inspiration for the development team. In addition, he takes a look back at 2015 and its four major updates, three tiers of raiding, Intrepid Instant Adventures, a new dungeon and the release of the Planetouched Wilds.

Trion World announced right before the Christmas break that all players logging in to Rift through today, Sunday, December 27th, will receive 7 days of free Patron status.

Trion Worlds has announced that the latest Rift update, Into the Wilds, is ready to launch today. To celebrate the update that includes the new Primalist and an all-new location to explore, the team has sent out a trailer and revealed some nice gifts for players.

Trion Worlds has announced that Rift's Into the Wilds update will be deployed on Wednesday, October 7th. Rift 3.4 brings a bunch of fantastic new content into the game including a new region to explore, the Primalist calling, a new dungeon and warfront and more.

Rift's 3.4 update, The Planetouched Wilds, may just be Telara's best update yet, and we recently took a tour with Trion Worlds' Simon Ffinch to get a look at the massive new zone, the new Primalist calling, and more.

Beginning October 7th, Rift players will have to pony up more cash in order to be a Patron subscriber or to purchase credit packs for use in the game. Locking in a subscription now, however, will allow players to retain the current, lower Patron price once the new structure goes live.

We sat down with Rift's Simon Ffinch last week to get an early look at patch 3.4, Planetouched Wilds, before it goes live in early October. The demo picks up just a few minutes after our tour began. (Excuse the missing first few minutes as the video was corrupted.)

The Rift site has been updated with a first look at some of the locations in the Planetouched Wilds that will be forthcoming with the v3.4 update. Players can find out a little information about denizens in each of the location and what can be expected when journeying through them.

Immediately after seeing the reveal for Atlas Reactor, Trion’s new game, at PAX Prime this weekend Rob Lashley along with Bill Murphy were given a glimpse of the new content coming to Trion’s flagship offering, RIFT. These will be added in RIFT’s update Into the Wilds. Read on for Rob’s synopsis of what Trion has in store.

With the revelation of the new Rift class, the Primalist, earlier this month, Trion decided to conduct an in-house interview with Lead Systems Designer Jeff Hamilton. The interview focuses on the design process for the new class, as well as a bit of information about Hamilton himself.

Chris Junior took over the Game Director role for Rift back in December of 2014 right around the 3.0 launch for Nightmare Tide. Since then, the Trion Worlds team has been plugging away on content to lead players onward through the murky dark waters of the expansion. We caught up with Chris to talk about the most recent patch, Waking Nightmares, and what we can expect to hear about at Gamescom this year.

"Ocho" from the Rift Community Team has posted on the game's official forums in response to players who are concerned about its future longevity. Ocho challenges the notion of doom by revealing that the team is growing, the population is strong and that there are concrete plans for the future.

The Rift community team will be on hand later today to show off the new Assault feature coming with the Into the Wilds update. The live stream will take place today at 3:30 pm Pacific / 6:30 pm Eastern in the Rift Twitch channel. In addition, players can log into the Public Test Shard beginning at 3:30 pm Pacific / 6:30 pm Eastern to try out Assault mode live and in person.
