Starfall Prophecy is the 3rd major expansion to Trion Worlds' Rift. We've been playing it since it launched on Wednesday the 16th, and Managing Editor Bill Murphy streamed it for about 2 hours this week. This is that VOD!

Today marks the official launch of Rift’s third expansion – Starfall Prophecy. Bringing with it new zones set on a comet hurtling through space and time, new legendary abilities, a new level cap, the new Planar Fragments system, Active Upgrades new dungeons, a new raid, Planar Assault Adventures, Fortress Sieges, and more. We spoke to Trion’s Simon Ffinch and Chris Junior one final time about the expansion as they toured us around some of the new stuff.

The Rift site has been updated with a small preview of some of the Legendary Powers that will be coming with the release of the Starfall Prophecy expansion. In today's preview, get a look at Cleric, Mage, and Warrior Legendary Powers.

Trion Worlds has sent word that Rift's new expansion, Starfall Prophecy, has officially entered its open beta phase of development. Players are invited to join up to check out the new level cap, five new zones, a pair of new dungeons, technical improvements and more.

The Rift site has been updated with a new developer post to reveal the first information about fortress sieges that will be released with the Starfall Prophecy expansion. Players can literally storm castles as an individual, in a small group or in a full 10 player raid.

Rift players have tons of fun to look forward to with the arrival of the Autumn Harvest, an annual in-game event. Players can head to the Monster Mash in the Black Garden and can earn some costumes, the Necro Budgie mount, and take part in some holiday-themed quests.

The Rift: Starfall Prophecy beta has been delayed, though no particular reason was given on the official forum post. The beta will kick off on Monday, October 17th. Access to the PTS has been closed for the time being to allow the team to "update and polish the beta build".

Fans of Rift will definitely want to check into the game beginning October 13th when the open beta for the game's expansion, Starfall Prophecy, will kick off. Starfall Prophecy brings five new zones, two new dungeons, the new Legendary Powers and Planar Fragments systems and check out the Planar Assault Adventures.

When the next expansion to Rift goes live, players will have the ability to access a new level of skill called Legendary Powers. Legendary Powers improve on already existing skills by adding new mechanics, effects or by making them more powerful. Legendary powers are obtained between levels 66 and 70 with players able to add up to 3 abilities for each Soul.

Rift’s next big expansion is just weeks away with Starfall Prophecy set to launch this fall. There are no new souls or callings this time, but Starfall Prophecy is probably shaping up to be one of the biggest expansions the game’s yet seen. We met with Julia Adams-Esgrow at PAX West 2016 and got a solid first look at the new zones and systems coming to Telara.

Rift players can now pre-order the Starfall Prophecy expansion by choosing between the Digital Deluxe Edition for $59.99 and the Digital Standard Edition for $39.99. Each comes with a level 65 boost, a special in-game title, Daily Starfall Prophecy Tokens that can be traded for special items, and access to legendary abilities, five new zones, two dungeons and more. The Digital Deluxe Edition also includes a mount, a portrait frame and Asha Catari's Raiment.

Late last week, a brand new Rift producer's letter was posted to reveal more details about the upcoming expansion, Starfall Prophecy. It begins with a discussion of the lore background and the fact that players will be able to journey to level 70 and then goes on with further details of the expansion.

Rift is set to get a brand new full expansion. Called The Starfall Prophecy, the expansion comes with a level cap increase to 70, five new zones, new dungeons, a new raid (post launch), new Legendary abilities that fundamentally alter how souls play, the Planar Fragment system, Planar Assault instances, Fortress Sieges, and loads more.
