Greetings, Riders! It’s BK again, the lead game designer for the Riders of Icarus development team at WeMade. Collecting mounts is a core feature of Riders of Icarus, and in this DEV Blog I’ll discuss my two favorite mounts and some of the decisions we’ve made while designing mounts in the game.

Big Changes to the Alliance System to Stop Exploitation

The Riders of Icarus site has been updated with a new Producer's Letter to inform the community that sweeping changes will be forthcoming to the Alliance System due to exploitation by larger guilds that were trading wins for lucrative boons and for the acquisition of PvP gear.

Hands On with Rift of the Damned

Rift of the Damned, Riders of Icarus’ next big content update is set to drop on September 28th. Sealing Familiars and You

Nexon’s Riders of Icarus makes familiars, or tamable creatures, a central focus of the game. But it’s not only possible to tame creatures for use as mounts or pets, creatures can also be “sealed” in order to improve the stats on your gear. New PvE Content the Focus of Latest Developer Blog

The Riders of Icarus site has been updated with a new developer blog that lays out some of the forthcoming PvE content coming to the game in the coming days and weeks. Among other things, players at level 35 can access Lair of Ienos to complete a daily quest to grab hold of his Familiar Control Stone. One of two elite creatures will appear with players able to attempt taming them.


Exarahn Badlands Update  Live, Patch Notes Released

The Riders of Icarus site has been updated with an extensive patch note list to detail the Exarahn Badlands update that has been deployed on game servers. Players can now take part in the Exarahn Badlands PvP zone including Manastone Battles and all attendant events.


'We Hear You' - Producer's Letter on Bots & Spammers

The latest Riders of Icarus producer's letter has been published that deals with a sensitive subject for many players. It begins by acknowledging the fact that the game has been plagued with bots and spammers since Head Start and, while temporary measures have been put into place, the development team has been largely silent on the issue while players have been loudly decrying the issue across social media and in the game itself.


Details Emerge About PvP Manastone Battles

The Riders of Icarus site has been updated with a new blog post to give PvP fans a look at how the twice-per-week Manastone Battles function. After a server-wide announcement, a manastone will appear in the PvP battle zone called Exarahn Badlands. Guild Alliances and Militia fighters then race to cooperatively capture and return the stone to the Vantara Manastone Oracle. In some ways, it is similar to "capture the flag" PvP.
