The latest challenge activity for Red Dead Online is the Wild Animal Kills Challenge that awards players points based on the size of the animal and can even include extra points for "prized" and "dangerous" predators. As the focus is squarely on the hunt itself, PvP activities are disabled during the Free Roam Event.
Players can also take part in the Head for the Hills Showdown mode. The goal is to take off running across a no man's land to try to get to the safe house. But it's never that easy: Opponents will be trying to hunt down the runner. Over the next couple weeks, both Public Enemy and Sport of Kings Showdown Modes will be released.
New players will earn extra RD$50 for finishing their first mission (Honor Among Horse Thieves), an additional RDO$75 for completing Kill Them, Each & Every One and 10 Gold Bars for completing Destroyed by Grief.
All players will also take home a new Care Package that has a number of tonics, oils, bitters, ammo and cures inside. Simply pick it up at the Camp Lockbox or the Post Office.
Being a new week, a number of new items are available in the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. catalogue.
Lastly, those who enable 2-step verification will earn a special Raccoon Hat tint and 10 Gold Bars in RDO and GTA$500,000.
