Warpportal has placed an announcement on its forum to announce that it has taken over development of Ragnarok Online II. Warpportal is the North American publisher of Gravity Interactive games. A new team, however, has been hired to take over the development from Gravity and will be based in North America.
Ragnarok 2 has been patched with what developers are calling its "largest update yet". The new update features a ton of new content, new dungeons and the "Master System" that gives max level players new skills and abilities.

WarPortal has announced that the official retail release for Ragnarok 2: Legend of the Second will take place on May 1, 2013. According to the dev team, there will be lots of surprises in store come launch day that players will not want to miss.

The open beta for Ragnarok Online 2 has been delayed slightly to January 3rd. The open beta initially kicked off on December 27th, but so many players logged in that the servers were overwhelmed. The team is using the extra time to resolve these issues prior to January 3rd's resumption of the open beta.
