Edge of the Mists Hopes to Bring in New WvW-ers

Like other MMOs in the past, Guild Wars 2 offers multiple styles of gameplay to reach a wider variety of players. ArenaNet offers typical cooperative rpg elements for PvE players, and competitive fast paced action for those that prefer PvP. WvW has always been in the center, trying to grab attention from both groups. That’s why we are seeing Living Story content in in WvW, through the addition of the Edge of the Mist.

Need More Heals?

For years now, though not the original “trinity”, MMOs have used a formula based around three play types called the tank, DPS, and healer. ArenaNet saw the terrible plague of LFG spam, and tried to remedy it with a new formula in Guild Wars 2. While you will never be looking for a certain profession in order to make a dungeon group, some still feel the lack of a true healing profession is hurting the game. But was attempt to rid us of the trinity a flop?

Let’s go to Cantha!

Back during the Original Guild Wars, players would travel to different regions of the world. That's right, Tyria was only the stepping stone into a wonderful and enchanting world. The first of the new lands we explored was called Cantha, which had a variety of rich environments that hid deadly new enemies around every corner! This is why players are asking ArenaNet, when can we go back to Cantha?

Living Story VS. Expansion, Fight!

When Guild Wars 2 first launched, players flocked to the game in swarms at an insane pace, which of course had to have made ArenaNet very happy. ArenaNet came up with the Living Story to not only add more content, but to constantly evolve the game world. While the Living Story may help keep players occupied, is it enough to quench our thirst for new content, or is it time for an expansion?

What If Professions Received New Weapon Proficiencies?

The professions of Guild Wars 2 utilize powerful weapons to bring down their enemies. ArenaNet has armed each profession with a wide selection of these weapons to choose from, giving players a handful of strategic possibilities. But what if each profession was given some new choices? That is, after all, what Colin Johanson said was coming down the pipe in an interview with our own Bill Murphy. Which profession should gain access to which weapon?
