Crowfall - The Talent System Revealed

Crowfall keeps on building towards what will undeniably be one of the most unique MMORPGs in recent memory. Everything the team at ArtCraft seems to do is just a little or a lot different from the norm. And the same goes for how the team approaches their talent system for player characters. We caught up with J. Todd Coleman and Thomas Blair to discuss the newly revealed feature. Plus we have an exclusive look at the video reveal of the system.

What game do you love that everyone seems to hate?

As I watch reviews, both player and press, roll in for Fallout 76 I get a distinct sense of déjà vu. I loved Auto Assault. I think I'm not alone there, but you wouldn't know it by looking at press and player reception to Netdevil's ill-fated car-driving MMORPG from the early 2000s.

Champions Online and Cryptic remember Stan Lee with his iconic glasses

Cryptic Studios and Perfect World are remembering Stan Lee inside of Champions Online by giving every player a pair of the Marvel Comics icon a pair of his memorable tinted glasses.

DayZ has crossed the 4 million sold mark

And it's finally going into "beta"! Yes, DayZ, the game that pretty much started the whole survival game craze, is celebrating 4 million copies sold since it hit Early Access way back in 2013.

Warframe: How Fortunate for Fortuna

Fortuna, Warframe’s latest massive open world update, opens with an absolutely breathtaking cinematic musical introduction to the titular underground city. You know that fantastic opening song sung by the ice-harvesters in Frozen? “We All Lift Together” is about as good as any original song you’ll ever hear from a videogame (watch and listen below). What follows, is a story of a people unwilling to give up despite overwhelming odds... and your place as a Tenno to help them find a way to break free from the Corpus rule.

Fallout 76 May Be the Sandbox MMO We've Been Waiting For

Yes, it's true - Fallout 76 limits players-per-world to 24. And to some, that's going to disqualify it from MMO status off the bat. I get why, I just hope MMO fans don't write off the game because of this number. Because at its core, it's the best new online RPG experience I've had in ages.

Razer Ifrit Review – The Streamer’s Headset?

Razer’s got a long line of headsets, many of which we’ve reviewed here at MMORPG.com. But one thing they’ve never really done is create a solution geared towards streaming – and that’s just what the Razer Ifrit aims to fix. This low-profile headset is intended to be used while streaming, but truthfully, it’s a good fit for anyone that wants a low-weight and inobtrusive headset.

Our Spoiler Free Red Dead Redemption 2 Review

Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel & the Temple of the Lizard People

Murkmire, the latest big story DLC pack from Elder Scrolls Online, is finally shining a light on one of the series’ greatest enigmas – the Argonians. By traveling to the lizard-folk’s racial homeland, the story of ESO is definitely headed in a new direction from past events in Morrowind, Clockwork City, and Summerset. But what new danger will be uncovered?

Starlink: Battle for Atlas Review

As I said earlier in the week, Starlink is the Starfox 64 sequel we never really got. Not only that, but it gives birth to a fantastic new sci-fi franchise from Ubisoft. It’s filled with deep lore, satisfying combat and travel, loads of content, and a great narrative. Starlink: Battle for Atlas gets derailed a bit by repetition and an expensive monetization model, but the overall game is still a success and one that should be experienced.

Not So MMO: Starlink Review in Progress

Every so often, there comes along a game you don’t think is going to capture your attention. Then you play it, and several hours later, you realize that you’ve been completely sucked in. That’s Starlink: Battle for Atlas, from Ubisoft. Due out this week on just about every platform, I’ve been playing the sci-fi open-universe epic and loving every minute of it.
