Fate/Grand Order is a brand new turn-based JRPG on iOS and Android from the makers of the cult hit Fate/Stay Night series of games out of Japan. It’s F2P on mobile, centered around turn-based combat where the player, who takes on the role of a "Master", summons and commands powerful familiars known as "Servants" in battle against their enemies. The story narrative is presented in a visual novel format, and each Servant has their own personal scenario which the player explores.
Today Rockstar Games unleashed the Karin Technical Custom to the live servers. In addition, a bunch of discounts on old favorites like the Phantom Wedge, Annihilator, Buzzard, and more are on the store. Plus the Double GTA$ & RP in the popular new Overtime Rumble Adversary Mode is still going strong.
A while back, Gazillion Games was forced to remove the Fantastic Four (Thing, Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, and Human Torch) as well as The Silver Surfer from Marvel Heroes Online. We say forced, because frankly, that’s what happened. Read on for our brief synopsis of what’s shaking down between Marvel and 20th Century Fox, and why we hope this means good things eventually for Reed Richards, Silver Surfer, and the rest.
In the short hand? Yes, I’d say NetEase’s Crusaders of Light is worth your time, now that it’s out today on iOS and on July 20th on Android. Like Order and Chaos (1 and 2), CoL aims to replicate what theme park MMORPG players love about their PC favorites, with the ease of access and portability of mobile gaming. But, as we well know, sometimes games meant for hundreds of hours on a PC don’t translate well to smartphone or tablet.
Elsword, despite being one of the most played Anime MMOs on the market, is still kind of an unknown around these parts. We caught up with KOG Studios out in sunny California to chat about the action MMORPG and what it’s all about. Read on!
We've got a treat for you RPG fans out there. Tonight, Bill will be livestreaming the Alpha build of Owlcat Games' Pathfinder: Kingmaker, an epic single player RPG based on the Pathfinder ruleset. We'll be live at 10pm, taking questions as we play, and the VOD will be on YouTube afterwards for those who miss it!
Perhaps an unlikely duo, Wargaming’s World of Warships is about to get a heaping dose of Anime Injection via High School Fleet, a popular naval-based anime that’s perfectly suited to crossing over with the action of Warships. We spoke to Wargaming’s Trevor Smith about the event, and what players can expect. For even more info be sure to check the news at the official site. The update lands on live servers this coming Monday.
MXM has had a long gestation period in NCSOFT’s development. Designed from the groundup for a world-wide launch, specifically targeted at the West, MXM is a MOBA-ish, Action RPG-ish, MMO-ish game that manages to somehow be extremely fun despite mixing so many genres together. We’ve been playing it since the closed beta, and have come to love this gem. It may be late to the party on the MOBA craze, but MXM proves there’s still life left in the flooded genre.
Greetings! The time has come once again to welcome you, feudal champion, back into our expansive medieval realm, where thousands of courageous souls strive for power and glory.
Last week, though we didn’t get to meet up with developer Freejam at E3, the guys hosted me for a demo of the upcoming XBOX One and Windows 10 edition of their hit Free to Play game, Robocraft Infinity. Due out in early 2018, RoboCraft Infinity will be a Buy to Play title, and that means the progression will be a bit more free-wheeling and open than what you currently find on the Steam version.
Worlds Adrift is something unique in the MMO world. Imagine a game where 90% of the landmass is created by players. Where the ecosystem reacts to the players’ actions – animals go extinct, become aggressive in response to encroaching players, and so forth. And with thousands of islands floating in the sky, all of the players play on one server.
Another E3, another week of insane gaming news. Light though it was on MMO info, online games in general were all over the place in LA last week. And as we’re wont to do, we’re giving them shiny badges for the sole purpose of hoping they’ll share those badges with their adoring fans. What, you expected me to lie about the reason behind awards? HA. I’m way past that, folks.
There has been a deluge of MMO releases these past few weeks. And yet, the one I didn't expect to get completely sucked into has been tying up all my free gaming time since Funcom let press in the doors early this week - Secret World Legends is a blast. In many ways, SWL is the The Secret World you know and love. But in all the best ways, it's also a more approachable and highly more engaging affair thanks to a revamped combat and progression system.
At E3, WCCFTech spoke to Game Director Matt Firor and came away with a few pieces of info worth mentioning for fans of Elder Scrolls Online. Morrowind’s now been out for a few weeks if you include the early access period, and we’re rightly looking ahead to what comes next and when we can expect fixes to the issues introduced by the game’s first Chapter.
Today marks the official worldwide launch of Final Fantasy XIV’s second expansion, Stormblood. To celebrate, we’re listing off the top five new features being added to the game with this update. This is a sponsored article, so it’ll be more informative than exclamatory. Hang onto your butts, here’s what’s new in Eorzea with Stormblood.
