Robin loves RPGs, MMOs, JRPGs, Action, and Adventure games... also puzzle games... and platformers... and exploration games... there are very few games she isn't interested in. When it comes to MMOs she focuses on WoW and GW2 but will pick-up other games as they catch her fancy. She's a habitual returner to FFXIV because that game is an all-around great MMO.

Guild Wars 2 - End of the Beginning Part 7

It’s time once again to pick back up on my replay of the story of Guild Wars 2. Last time I had just finished with the first expansion Heart of Thorns story. Mordremoth had been vanquished but at the cost of also killing Trahearne to prevent the Elder Dragon from taking over his mind. Additionally, during the cutscene at the end of the HoT storyline, we also saw what looked like an explosion of ley magic come out of Mordremoth and spread out into many directions. One of these directions was righ

World of Warcraft - Is Ny'alotha Easier Than Eternal Palace?

A week and two days after mythic Ny'alotha opened up, Complexity Limit downed N'Zoth and claimed the world first title. A though a week is a norm for most raids, it's worth noting that it took almost two weeks for Azshara to be killed. Robin explores whether or not Ny'alotha is a simpler raid by comparison.

World of Warcraft - Two Weeks After Patch 8.3

It's been two weeks since Patch 8.3 has hit World of Warcraft, and our resident WoW expert, Robin, has some thoughts on the patch. From the Auction House bugs to the Heroic Visions. Check out her latest column on the venerable MMO here.

World of Warcraft - Visions of N'Zoth Concerns

One year and five months after the launch of Battle for Azeroth, we are getting the final major patch of the expansion. On the one hand, it feels like this expansion has just flown by, but on the other, it has at times seemed like it languished. Mainly the arrival of some class fixes, azurite armor updates, and essences felt like they took too long to be implemented and perhaps should have been part of the core systems since the beginning of this expansion. That said, it feels like 8.2 has only been out for a short while. Either way, I’m happy to finally faceoff with N’Zoth and to be one step closer to putting this expansion behind us. However, I do have some concerns.

The Ups And Downs of World Of Warcraft 2010-2019

Join Robin as she talks about the ups and downs the venerable MMO, World of Warcraft, has experienced during the 2010s.

The Impact of Guild Wars 2

As we transition into the 2020s, we're taking a look back at some of the more popular MMOs of the 2010s. Join Robin as she explores the impact of Guild Wars 2.

World of Warcraft - Level Squish And Other Ideas

One of the major features coming with the new Shadowlands expansion is the level squish and revamp of how leveling works. Reducing the level cap back down to 60 will fix some more of the issues but if things keep going the way they have been since BC, we’ll eventually have the same problem all over again. Join Robin as she breaks down her thoughts on how to fix the issues with WoW's leveling for the long term.

Kingdom Under Fire 2 Review - Surprising Marriage of RTS and RPG

Kingdom Under Fire 2 has gotten off to a solid start, and I honestly had a ton of fun playing. Unfortunately, for me, the gender locked classes are a pretty big deal, and having issues with finding groups to do things can be frustrating. One problem is currently it’s easy to knock out the dailies, which is nice because we aren’t endlessly grinding our faces on, but once people get their dailies done, the server can feel a bit like a ghost town. They do have a December patch planned and new content is on the way, so hopefully, they’ll be able to reach a good state of equilibrium.

World of Warcraft - What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been

This past week, Robin found herself without anything she wanted to work on in World of Warcraft, which is kind of a new thing for her. Join her as she recounts her week in Azeroth, specifically tackling the Pilgrim's Bounty.

Kingdom Under Fire II Review In Progress

Kingdom Under Fire II has finally hit digital shelves after what seemed like an endless wait. So how does the MMORTS stack up thus far? Check out Robin's Review in Progress of the new game.

Niffelheim Review: Survive And Fight Your Way To Valhalla!

Niffelheim is an engaging and fun survival game in a deep Norse setting. This game leaves you to figure things out on your own and doesn’t hand anything over on a silver platter. Although the combat itself is simple, the rest of the game is multilayered and offers a unique blend of challenges. This is a game for anyone who enjoys pure survival games and Norse mythology.

Guild Wars 2 Icebrood Saga Whispers in the Dark Preview

Today is the launch of the next season of living story content, Icebrood Saga. Last week I had the opportunity to check out this new update ahead of release and not only experience the story firsthand, but to also poke around the new map a bit. So let’s dive right in and discuss some of the exciting things arriving today.

World of Warcraft 8.3 and N'Zoth Is On Its Way

One of the cornerstones of how World of Warcraft has operated, at the very least since Wrath but it might have started before then, is to have a constant eye on what’s next. So, this week, I’m going to be talking a bit about the 8.3 PTR and what we have to look forward to.

Kingdom Under Fire 2 Previewed

Last week we had the opportunity to get some hands-on time with Kingdom Under Fire 2, an ambitious MMORTS. From what we saw last week it looks like KUF2 might have been able to combine both into an exciting and compelling gameplay experience.

BlizzCon 2019 - Diablo IV Hands On Demo

During BlizzCon, I went through the Diablo IV demo twice and had the chance to check out both the Druid and the Barbarian. The demo gave us a level 20 character to do some quests and explore a bit. Sadly, there wasn’t the opportunity to change skill selection or vary the build outside of random equipment, which dropped while playing. However, it was a nice slice of gameplay to give a feel for how everything works in this game.
