As many of you may already know, Tera is getting ready to make its way from PC to console. And just this last weekend fans got their first chance to check out the MMO on a PS4 at Sony’s Playstation Experience. And even though I wasn’t able to make the event itself, I did get a chance to go hands-on with a brief demo of what fans can expect.
Remember the other week when I said we’d have more details on Destiny 2’s upcoming first expansion, The Curse of Osiris heading your way soon? Well, soon is here and we’re ready to let a few more details out from behind the NDA curtain. So, let’s take a look at the new hubworld and some of the extra-curricular activities you’ll be able to participate in.
It feels like just yesterday I was logging into the Destiny 2 servers for the first time and grinding my way to a power level of 305. Now that we’ve thrashed Ghaul and the Red Legion and (SPOILER ALERT!) the Traveller has reawakened there’s going to be even more problems focusing their site on our little corner of the universe. The latest threat heading our way will have guardians flying off to Mercury in Destiny 2’s first expansion, The Curse of Osiris.
The only thing Star Wars fans have been looking forward to more than the upcoming Last Jedi film installment is EA’s latest iteration of the Battlefront series. Now, with Star Wars Battlefront II’s launch just around the corner the veil is being lifted and we got a chance to go hands-on with everything multiplayer and see what we can expect from the full version of the game.
Phoenix Labs is still hard at work on their next patch, Forge Your Legend (which launches today) and preparing for the Open Beta phase of their development cycle. We got a chance to sit in on vid call with the team to find out what changes fans can expect to see from the update as well as what can expect to pop up in game over the next couple of months.
Final Fantasy XIV’s lifeblood, aside from being Final Fantasy, is its story. We managed to catch up with Square Enix’s Koji Fox to chat about the MMORPG’s ongoing lore development, story, and secrets of the Eorzean narrative. Read on for part two of our interview with Koji Fox, the Co-Lead World and Lore Developer on the massively successful game.

Ubisoft is doubling down on their open-world racer series with the upcoming launch of The Crew 2. Players will be able to roam the streets, but the skies and waterways as well. You’ll be able to switch between land vehicles that range from dirt bikes to high-end race cars into airplanes and speed boats on the fly while exploring the in-game world. We got some hands-on time with the game and shot some exclusive video.
The fast-paced, frenetic action of Kritika Online’s closed beta for a while. Now, as it begins to enter its full launch this month it looks like there still a few more surprises up it sleeve. And that big surprise is a brand new playable character class known as the Psion.
The voxel art styled MMO action adventure world of Trove just recently got a brand new update in the Eclipse expansion. But the team is already hard at work at improving the player experience even more. I got my first hands-on session with the game while on the at PAX this year.
During PAX West, we met up with Chris Cleroux, the Design Director of Dauntless to discuss how far the game’s come since we first saw it, what’s changed, and where we’re headed now that it’s in beta.
Action MMO Defiance entered the world a few years ago as a tie-in to the SyFy channel show of the same name. Now, five years later the show may no longer exist, but the game is still alive and well. And the team at Trion Worlds is ready to recommit to making Defiance a success and making it a game players will want to immerse themselves in for at least another five years.
When I saw the name Closers my mind immediately went to that famous line Alec Baldwin line in Glengarry Glen Ross about coffee. But, I quickly learned that this was not a game about cut-throat real estate salesmen in Chicago, but rather a new arcade-style action MMO from the folks at En Masse. As a matter of fact, not a single thing about this game has anything with either Alec Baldwin or real estate.
Middle Earth: Shadow of War is one of the most highly anticipated sequels of the year. And there’s a good reason why. The orignal mixed with the stealth action of the Assassin’s Creed series with the combat system of the Batman Arkham titles and slapped a healthy heap of Tolkien lore all over the thing. But now it has to live up to the expectations of its predecessor.
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a bird in a plane! Actually, it’s Steambirds Alliance, the latest game from Spry Fox (Road Not Taken, Alphabear) and it’s got the team exploring the world of MMO’s with their own unique style and twists. Steambirds Alliance is a co-op schmup that finds you taking on the role of an ace pilot who is also a bird.
