A Neverending Game

Back then in 2001 was the start of another Korean MMORPG and it's start as a Beta. Long time before Games like WoW or GW. In October 2008 Subagames tookover the Game until today.

It was 2004 when i tried my first MMORPG, it's name was Priston Tale and it had a cute looking Anime Style. It was announced as fully 3D and free to play Massiveley Online Roleplay Game. I was able to choose between two tribes in this Game, called "Tempskron" and "Morion". I chose Morion and had the decision between 4 classes: Knight, Atalanta, Magician and Priestess. I created a Priestess called Falara since i was interested in Strong Holy Magical Attacks and Healing.

Falara Priestess

This is how i started Priston Tale and i learned a certain Sentence that fits until today  "one day everyone will come back" and thats what i truly experienced. I had some big or smaller breaks but later i and other people always came back. In Priston Tale one big reason for this is the Community. Compared to other bigger MMOs, Priston Tale has a pretty neat Community, this doesn't mean that it's empty, its just perfect to play there. Imagine the difference from a village to a city, in a village alot people might know eachother, in a big city you sink in the big amount of population.

Later i noticed it's pretty important to join a Clan, of course you will meet alot of nice and helpfull people there, but the clan gives you a certain routine in the game, since you join daily clan parties and learn alot of faster about the game. You get extended Informations about the game based on people that chat about all the different stuff ingame and of course you can talk and ask there as well.

Priston Tale Clan

SOD short for "Survive or Die" is another reason to join a Clan. imagine a room, which you can't leave. In this room a massive spawning of monsters (called "mobs" in pt) takes place and a Group of maximum 7 Joiners need to defeat those Monsters in a certain time. There are 8 waves in total and the Monsters get stronger and stronger. Imagine this with 4 different rooms, with 7 players in each room which fight for the points to reach the next waves. At the end just one room and it's group is able to reach the last two waves. The reward is Gold (based on your personal Score) and alot of Mana (Which can't be bought in NPC stores and needs to be farmed or bought from other players). Once a week the Clan System looks which Clan got the Highest Score in this week, this Clan gets rewarded with a "Crown-Tag" above the Clan's name and also gets some Gold as reward. Rank 2 and 3 get a smaller gold amount though.

BC or Bless Castle, is an Event once a Week which makes even the most inactive players logg into the Game. Imagine a Castle which can be tookover by a Clan for a week. Within this week the Clan gets massive Mana every day, alot of Gold and a amount of "Jeras" which is a very important item ingame and is often used as currency to buy expensive items (besides the gold). So the Clan that tookover the Castle is the Defender of the Castle the week after. This Means everyone is able to attack the Castle to takeover it over and get a Shiny Crown above your head, besides those rewards. The Clans and players do attack a Gate at the beginning and after some multiple Towers. The Clan which got the highest Score when the Last big tower got destroyed, takesover the Bless Castle, if they did it intime. If not, the Defending Clan is able to keep the Crown for another Week. In most cases the Castle was takenover by a new clan, since its very hard to Defend the Castle against.. everyone. Due to my experience there were some Generations in PT in which there was just one really big Clan which was able to defend the Castle for Months. Nowadays there are like 4-5 really big clans which have the Chance to get the Crown.

Priston Tale BC

Priston Tale is very international, means everyone from europe and north-america (at least) plays on this english Priston Tale Server which is hosted by Subagames. There were even some Server merges to English PT which made the population more lively now. There are no restricted Areas for certain nations which is pretty good imo, since you meet alot of interesting people.

Yes, PT is a nonstop Grinding Game and doesn't have alot of Quest, but therefore the Society and it's people keep you staying in this Grinding areas since you chat about everything and know them pretty good. And something which i didn't saw in another MMO like this was, that the Weapons and Armors etc. look even more and more Powerfull the higher level they are.

Another sympathetic point are the bugs, which became even a brand of Priston Tale. One of the best know Bug's is the "Climb Bug". In Priston Tale you can climb almost everything if you know how to and if you got a Time. It even became a sport in Priston Tale and you will find alot of Climbing Priston Tale Videos in the Internet. Or don't you think it would be funny to climb a big Mountain or a building which shouldn't be meant to reach. Try it out and you will see it can be addicting ;-)

There are so many more things that can be done in Priston Tale like improving weapons, or hunting Bosses, but this would take too much space here so i wan't to say: Priston Tale isn't a very Perfect Game but thats what makes it so sympathetic and not at least the Community and it's people. I still play this Game sometimes and i want to thank all the people for a great time.

Thanks for your attention

Falara
