World of Warcraft is getting ready to celebrate its fifteenth anniversary. No momentous occasion such as this would be complete without an amazing commemorative collector’s edition and a plethora of in-game festivities that will yield some fantastic rewards for players.

First off the bat is the World of Warcraft 15th Anniversary Collector’s Edition. Pre-orders for this limited edition commemorative box are already open. You won’t believe what’s inside:

This commemorative edition of the game will run $99.99 and will be available for pre-order at the Blizzard Gear Shop. It will ship worldwide on October 8th and includes:

  • Ragnaros statue
  • Onyxia pin
  • Map of Azeroth mouse pad
  • Fine art prints

In addition, players will also receive a pair of mounts, one each for Alliance and Horde.

While we don’t yet know exactly what the in-game events celebrating WoW’s 15th anniversary will be, we do know that players will have the chance to earn a pair of pretty sweet rewards: The Baby Nefarion battle pet and the Worldbreaker mount.

Later this year, Blizzard will be rolling out a series of in-game activities in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth™ in celebration of the game’s 15th anniversary, culminating in a 25-player raid (accessible through Raid Finder) that will pit players against some of the most iconic bosses from throughout the game’s history. Players who make it through this epic trial will earn the Obsidian Worldbreaker mount, designed to evoke the terrible visage of the ancient Dragon Aspect Deathwing the Destroyer.
