For Final Fantasy 14’s upcoming Dawntrail expansion, one of the biggest-advertised new additions is the graphical overhaul—and within it, the development team showed a ton of upgrades to the fabrics.
MMORPG was invited to the Dawntrail Media Tour to get a preview of this expansion, which included a development build of 7.0, updated graphics and all. This means that we got a chance to look at all the outfits for all the level 100 jobs, and I’m excited to show you all what these look like in-game.
Unfortunately, I don’t believe (or more accurately, know if) these have the “new” character creation updates that were released this week, which include a beautiful new lighting rendering system. (This is also a good place to put the disclaimer that Media Tour’s build was a development build, and now pretty obviously, there may, and in this case will, be changes in the final release of 7.0.)
However, a lot of the fabric and material rendering we’ve already seen has been splendid—and I can’t tell you how gorgeous certain fabrics looked when I dove into this demo. You’ll just have to look for yourself, especially with the Astrologian and Red Mage velvets for these glamours.
To the point: all the glamours for all the level 100 jobs are shown in these clips captured during the Dawntrail Media Tour (except Black Mage, somehow, despite it being my main). Do you think it’s an improvement—especially for your class? Sound off below!
