Once again, we delve into the world of Eorzea. Today, we will be taking a look at the Goldsmith, the Armourer, and the Woodworker. Luckily we were able to snag a bit of information about these freshly released classes.
Goldsmith
First we come to the goldsmith, the creator of all that glistens and glitters. Their name says it all. They work with gold, silver, platinum, diamonds, and other precious metals and gems to create beautiful trinkets for both the adventurer and the fashionista. As with all MMORPGs, they will create necklaces, rings, and earrings with status-boosting properties. However, this class comes with its share of risks. The gold market is always expensive and turbulent. One day, you may be able to pick up some gold ore for a handful of gil, and the next you will be paying double or triple that amount. One motto to always keep in mind is "High risk, high reward." At first, you may feel like you're dumping gil with little return, but over time you will begin to see your dedication rewarded. If you're dedicated enough, you can create a Miner and harvest the ore yourself. This will massively reduce your out-of-pocket expense and thus increase your profits. At this time, there is little information on what skills this class will come equipped with, but I will keep you all informed.
Armourer
Here we have our trusty Armorer. With hammer in hand, these masters of metallurgy create intricate breastplates and chainmails to protect those who stand at the front lines of battle. Typically, blacksmiths have created armor, but today we see that these artisans are a breed of their own. As with the Blacksmith, the tools of the trade will be Iron, Steel, Darksteel, and many other types of metal, so we will see a bit of volatility in the ore market as the Blacksmiths and Armorers begin battling for control. Tie this class to a Miner and your profits, as well as work load, will be endless. Armorers will be capable of creating plate mail, chain mail, and scale mail types of armor, as well as shields. At this time, it is unknown as to what skills this class will have, but I will keep you posted as more information becomes available.
Woodworker
Finally, we come to the woodworker. These fine artisans will create the very things each player will need. Their list of creations include bows, staves, clubs, furniture and much much more. They will rely upon the Harvester for the wood that they require. Due to woodworkers being the primary source of arrows and other tools, this class will never have a reason to not create something. Fisherman will need rods, Miners need cut wood for their pickaxes, and so on. As of this time, there's little information about skills for this class, but I will keep you updated as more information is released.
Well, that does it for our hard-working Disciples of the Hand. Tune in next time where I look at those that make this all possible, the Disciples of the Land.
