Portal Knights to Receive Its Biggest Update Yet & It Comes with a New Race & Class

505 Games and Keen Games have announced that Portal Knights will be receiving its biggest update ever later today. The Elves, Rogues & Rifts DLC includes a new race and class as well as "rifts" that are randomly generated dungeons filled with traps and puzzles. The DLC runs $9.99 and is available starting today. In addition, all players will receive the Questing Update for free that includes the Mage's Guild quest hub, toggle-able public games, a new quest log & more.


Portal Knights Invites Players to Villainous

The Villainous update has been deployed to Portal Knights on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and XBox One. The iOS and Android Villainous update will launch on September 6th and Nintendo Switch will come "at a later date". Villainous update "treats players to exciting new gameplay features designed to improve the Portal Knights experience and introduces new threats into the realm".


Creative Mode Launches for Mobile Users

The mobile version of Portal Knights has been updated to bring the Creative Mode update on board. The update is available for both iOS and Android users. Creative Mode allows players to choose from "a range of spectacular environments" and use the provided tools to create just about anything including furniture, decorations and more. Players will also be able to share their creations via the Universe Sharing option on Steam Workshop.

Keen Games and 505 Games have announced that a brand new Portal Knights demo has been released for Nintendo Switch. The demo version of the game is now available in the eShop and provides players with a peek at the Adventurer Update that features new "characters, quests, items and overall improvements to the game".


The Adventurer Update Brings New Content & Overall Game Improvements

The Portal Knights Steam version has been patched with the Adventurer Update that brings a number of big improvements to the game. In addition, a new Warrior Guild has been added with tons of new NPCs, quests and items including water pumps, drains, a new drawbridge, potted plants and more. Overall game feature improvements include PC dedicated servers, dungeon tweaks, combat improvements, cloud saves to play on any PC, mobile controller support and more.


You Can Now Carry a Sandbox ARPG in Your Pocket

If you're the type who likes to game on the go, you'll be happy to hear that Portal Knights, a sandbox ARPG from Keen Games, is now available on both the App Store and on Google play. Costing a mere $5, Portal Knights gives you a chance to take part in online gaming action while riding on the bus or while waiting for an appointment. It comes with all of the features of the PC and console version as well.


Vacant Islands Arrives in Latest Update

The latest update to Portal Knights has been released. v1.2 features tons of new content, much of it in response to player feedback. In addition, the Vacant Islands provide players a new location to discover, clear and inhabit. Once done, building a stylish new abode will be imperative as will decorating it with the finest items. Decorative props can now be discovered and mined from dungeons and then placed in the home.


Free Trial Version to Launch for PlayStation 4 & XBox One

505 Games and Keen Games have announced that a free trial version of Portal Knights is available in Europe and the Middle East right now and in the US on May 23rd. Console players can take part in both single- and multi-player as well as experience the other game features including crafting and the basics of combat.


Early Access to End in April, Set for Console Launch Too

The Portal Knights team has a pair of big announcements today. First off, PK will be leaving Early Access on April 28, 2017. Secondly, Portal Knights will be heading for both PlayStation 4 and XBox One on April 28th in Europe and May 2nd in North America.


Keyboard Remapping & In-Game Chat Added

Portal Knights has been updated with a patch that brings quality of life improvements into the game. Most notably, in-game text and voice chat has been added as well as the ability for players to customize keyboard controls.


Latest Update Features Controller Support & More

The latest update to the Early Access version of Portal Knights has been deployed that bring a number of interesting new features into the game. Players with a bent for controllers will be happy to hear that support has been added. In addition, target locking can be toggled on or off and the Warrior class has been upgraded with a pair of new abilities.


Ghost World Update Goes Live

Portal Knights players are being invited to head into the game to check out the latest update. Called Ghost World, the new content includes spooky graveyards to explore, more recipes, monster "trophy" furniture, the Mummy, the Hollow Knight and a Spider boss to take on.
