Development Roadmap Delayed to March, New Ping-Matching in the Works -

The PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Steam page has been updated with a post to inform the community that the development roadmap for 2018 promised for this month has been put off to March. The cause for the delay, according to the letter, is due to the team focusing primarily on cheat blocking and prevention. "We do have a lot of exciting things that we want to share with you, including new content to provide more extensive battle royale experiences as well as improvements and modifications".

With much of that work completed, PUBG devs are turning their minds to the development roadmap and the addition of new "ping matching". The matchmaking pool will be divided according to a player's ping. "This means that the users with lower pings will be prioritized during matchmaking".  The goal is to improve overall play experience for the community "by splitting the matching pool rather than by restricting connection depending on ping".

You can read the full notice on the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Steam page.
