Matt Higby Resigns

A post has appeared on the PlanetSide 2 Reddit from now-former Creative Director Matt Higby indicating that he has left Daybreak Game Studio. Higby claims that he had been considering leaving Daybreak prior to the staff firings earlier this week and said that the timing, given these events, provides the opportunity.


Players Break Guiness World Record

PlanetSide 2 players broke a nearly-three year old Guiness World Record on January 24th when over eleven hundred players took part in a single FPS battle. The event was co-sponsored by Sony Online Entertainment and fan site PlanetSideBattles.

New Aircraft - The Valkyrie

What’s Next for PlanetSide2?

We had a chance to listen to Matt Higby and Tramell Isaac expound on some of what they’ve been working on over the last couple months with PlanetSide 2, and what we should expect to see in the next several months with the game. When they led with new loading screen art, I started to get worried. Needlessly, as it turns out.
