Service Outage - Pirates of the Burning Sea - MMORPG.com

Pirates of the Burning Sea are moving their webserver to it's "permanent home" today, which will result in at least a few hours of downtime. The developers would like to ask for patience while this takes place. The downtime will begin at 9AM Pacific Time.

Augustus has also posted a brand new devlog rounding up all of the questions that were asked this past weekend at PAX and putting them in one convenient location for us. Questions from "How many flags can I fly on my ship?" to "I can only damage the ship I'm aiming at? Why isn't there collateral damage?" Are asked and answered in this brand new devlog.

Hey folks!

What a fantastic weekend at PAX - it was a great show, and we were thrilled with the turnout. We got to meet several fans - some from as far away as Phoenix and Alaska - and we got to introduce the game to thousands of new players.

Most exciting for me was watching and interacting with people as they played - both the missions and the PvP duel. This is the first time that a large number of newbies have tried out our game, and although there¡¦s a learning curve with any MMP, it was incredibly gratifying to see how much fun people had blowing each other out of the water! :)

And now that people are coming back from PAX and writing about their experiences, there are lots of great questions and comments showing up on our forums that we wanted to take a moment to address. Most of these were questions, but there were a couple misunderstandings we wanted to clear up as well. On to the main course!
