It looks like Phantasy Star Online 2’s PC NA launch has not been without issues.
Several people on Reddit are posting issues they’ve had with the MMOs launch, which finally launched in NA on PC today. For example, one such user is unable to change window size. Another user, going by u/DozyVan, has compiled a large list of community bugfixes. The list is seemingly growing.
It seems the Microsoft Store (the only place to download this on PC) is the root of several issues, with one user in the thread complaining about contant 0x800704C6 errors,
“I'm getting constant 0x800704C6 errors when trying to download the game from the MS store. I've already tried clearing the MS Store cache as well as performing a clean boot but the errors still occur. Also my download speed on the MS store is hella slow despite my actual internet providing fairly good speeds.”
While no official announcement has been made as of this writing, the official Twitter account is replying to users on Twitter. For example, several users received Error 1813 errors, to which the official account responded,
“Hi! Try updating Windows 10 to meet the game's system requirements, enable all Xbox settings, and restart your PC. Please bear in mind that #PSO2NA is only available on the Microsoft Store in North America (USA & Canada). Please contact customer support directly for other issues!”
If you’re getting errors, it’s worth checking out the community bugfix thread linked above. Here’s hoping we get an official announcement, immediate troubleshooting, and communication of steps to rectify these issues soon.
