Latest Update Sticks to the Roadmap and Delivers

The latest update to Pathfinder Online has been deployed. Earlier this year, the team laid out an extensive roadmap of new features and improvements it would be making to the game over the course of about a year. The first update has been deployed and has met all of the stated goals for the patch as well as being delivered on time with a few extra additions as well.

Independent Development To Continue & Looking For Its Niche

Paizo CEO Lisa Stevens has written an extensive letter to update backers and the Pathfinder Online community about the future of the game. After an independent analysis, it was determined that the game needs to find its niche but that it would be unlikely that any major player on the MMO scene would be interested in finishing development. As a result, Paizo has decided to move forward on its own to try to complete the game within next year.

Early Enrollment Update Deployed to Live Servers

Goblinworks has posted the latest patch notes for Pathfinder Online. This update, according to developers, features a long, long list of bug fixes, feature enhancements and the addition of quality of life improvements including the /stuck command to assist players.

Pending Funds Acquisition, New Ownership Coming Soon

Goblinworks acting CEO Lisa Stevens has sent out an update to inform backers and fans of Pathfinder Online that a letter of intent has been received that, if funding is acquired, will see transfer of ownership handed to a company headed by a longtime Pathfinder Online player. Once funding is attained, the company making the offer will take over PO beginning on March 1, 2016.

After the Mumble chat with the Pathfinder Online community last night, much has been speculated about what all the changes mean. With Ryan Dancey and all but three employees removed from the development team, the future of the game is in question. In a new post today, new CEO Lisa Stevens has written a very frank letter to the community. We present it here in its entirety and invite your analysis.

A Seed of Potential Planted in Barren Soil

When I think about the vision behind Pathfinder Online, it's hard for me not to get excited. As a fan of Iceland's greatest export, EVE Online, I have spent the last few years pining for an MMORPG that takes the sandbox structure of EVE and transports it to a more familiar fantasy universe, and what better universe than Paizo Publishing's wonderful pen and paper RPG, Pathfinder? On paper, Pathfinder Online seems like a sandbox fan's dream come true.

Early Enrollment v10 Introduces New Features

Goblinworks have posted the release notes for recent Early Enrollment v10 for Pathfinder Online. The update includes the series of Escalations, Holding & Outpost Warfare, Mules and other bug fixes and feature enhancements.

The Review Continues with Fresh Eyes

You may be wondering where my (Bill Murphy’s) review is for Pathfinder Online. As I mentioned a while ago in a comment, I just can’t bring myself to play the game anymore, and I don’t feel I’ve given it enough time to really put a score on it. So, like a boss, I’m torturing our own Steven Messner with the task of going in with fresh eyes to see how he feels about the game. Read on for his own first impressions and more of my reasoning behind switching writers.

New Mule System Detailed

The Pathfinder Online site has been updated with a new blog post to tell players about the new mule system. Players can craft saddlebags to get their first mule that begins with a relatively small inventory and encumbrance level, but one that can be increased over time. Mules attacked by other players are considered an attack on the player. Mules reaching 0 HP will sit down and be free for the taking. Player death also frees the mule that can then be claimed by any other player in the area.

First Newsletter Details Settlements

Goblinworks' first newsletter is filled with tons of information for fans who want to know more about how the settlement system works in Pathfinder Online.

Early Access Review in Progress #3

I think next week, yes in the midst of E3, I’ll finally put a wrap on this project and assign a score to Pathfinder Online as it stands now. But let me start this week by saying that fresh of The Witcher 3 and another Early Access game known as ARK: Survival Evolved makes Pathfinder feel even less finished. PFO can be enjoyable, it can… but the more I play it the less I can recommend investing your own money in the River Kingdoms for now.

Early Enrollment Patch Rolls Out

The v8.2 early enrollment patch for Pathfinder Online has been deployed and comes packed with content. Of significant note is the overhauled New Player Experience, changes and additions to outposts and holding, company "feuds", the introduction of elementals, and a bit about recruitment and buddy keys.
