In a new interview with YouTuber Bazgrim, Visionary Realms' Creative Director Chris "Joppa" Perkins talks about Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen.
The interview ranges from combat to honing in specifically on limited-action sets and why the team behind Pantheon chose to go this route. This is a topic that has raged throughout the Pantheon community for quite a while, and in the interview, Joppa defends why the team has decided to go this route versus a more open action set.
In the interview, Joppa states that Visionary Realms is trying to create a more "strategic" combat environment.
"The buzzword that continually came up , over and over again, was 'strategy.' 'Strategic,'" Perkins explained while discussing the design philosophy behind Pantheon's combat design. "Really trying to carve this path of 'I want to think carefully and consider carefully what is about to happen.'"
It's worth checking out the full hour and a half interview with Perkins via Bazgrim's video, which we've embedded in the post below. In case you missed it, earlier this month the team got to gether to talk about NPC AI, encounters and more.
