Latest Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen Newsletter Details Its New Game Zone -

The Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen March newsletter is out and about, this time with news of Project Faerthale, a new zone in the works. The team is hoping that the end of the month will "see a new area populated with an encounter that will be playable in its basic form". The goal of the forthcoming encounter is to determine if the fun on paper transfers to fun in the game.

The newsletter further goes into detail about "Dispositions", an NPC system that grants a chance for them to spawn with "unique strengths, weaknesses and behavioral qualities".

Here is a short list of possible Dispositions you could encounter as you explore Terminus:

  • Cunning
  • Deranged
  • Predatory
  • Pyrophobic
  • larmist
  • Sniper
  • Bloodthirsty
  • Acrobatic
  • Truesight
  • Avenging
  • Playful
  • Mastermind

Over time, as a player learns these Dispositions and is able to associate them with different NPC types, they will become more "skilled" within our strategic depth framework of challenge. Players who choose to go the extra mile and learn, even networking with other players to learn, get rewarded with long-term, strategic benefits within the game.

The letter then moves on to a Q&A with the dev team that covers an array of topics including the Perception System, how NPCs make the world feel real, character creation and much more.

Check it out on the Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen site.
