Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen Articles

Pantheon had its first showing to the media at GDC today and we were lucky enough to be there right away to check things out. The game is coming along nicely and really heralds back to the classic MMOs we love with a fantastic push into the future of how MMO are made. We got to watch a solid demo as well as see some of the new features that will impact characters and their interaction with the environment.

Fans of Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen got a first look at game play during a special live stream event held on Friday, March 11th. The stream video has been posted on YouTube in case you missed the event. Check it out and let us know what you think!

Visionary Realms is ready to show off gameplay from Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. The event will take place on the Pantheon Twitch.tv channel and viewers will get to see some of the game's locations, a bit of combat and will learn what makes Pantheon a "unique classically-spirited MMO".

The latest Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen newsletter has been published on the official site that begins the process of introducing fans to the classes that will be coming with the game. Brad McQuaid begins the discussion by outlining the design objectives behind classes in general and then he provides a first look at the Cleric.

The latest lore and region update has been posted to the Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen website that gives interested fans a look at Wild's End, one of the game's zones. Wild's End is the home of the Halflings in the city of Sorhiryth and is also the location of the Halfling starter zone.

The first-ever monthly newsletter regarding the development of Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen has been published on the official site. The letter goes into detail about what the team has been up to, including significant milestones in both funding and development.

The Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen site has been updated with a post to give fans some information about recent pledge tier changes and about new forums headed to the official site.

This past week we had the chance to interview Brad McQuaid and Chris Perkins about the work on Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. The game is really in great shape despite not making its Kickstarter. MMO fans will have a lot to look forward too as the team has: a playable solid core game, gotten its first round of funding, and hit solid internal milestones. Visionary Realms has announced that it has secured seed funding to continue the development of Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. According to Venture Beat, the funding will see the game extended beyond the currently available ten fully playable levels that exist.

The Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen site has been updated with a new letter from Creative Director Chris "Joppa" Perkins. In it, Perkins discusses a trio of big news updates: Internal alpha #1, a new team artist and the arrival of Unity 5 as the game engine.

Group-oriented MMO Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen has been keeping the community up to date on its process via Soundcloud, and this week the Visionary Realms team released part 2 of their Developer's Round Table.
