Earlier this summer, Hi-Rez announced that Paladins would be coming to Nintendo Switch, but that a free to play version would not be available until later in the summer. As of today, that F2P version of the game is now out and players can download the game from the Nintendo eShop.
Hi-Rez Studios has announced the release of Paladins: Champions of the Realm, its version of the hero-shooter, on Nintendo Switch. It was rumored to be coming last week, but was confirmed today as part of the Nintendo E3 2018 Showcase. It will feature cross-platform multiplayer and 60 FPS.
For Paladins fans who want their game on the go, we have good news for you today: Hi-Rez has announced that Paladins will arrive on Nintendo Switch on June 12th for those purchasing a Founder's Pack. Paladins will run at 60 fps and will allow cross play between the Switch and XBox One versions of the game.
Paladins has been updated to bring a brand new support hero into the game. Named Furia, the Angel of Vengeance, she has come to fight the Abyss and avenge her fallen sister. The new hero comes as part of the Rise of Furia event that sees players descend into the Abyss and work to escape.

You may remember Paladins: Realm Royale that briefly debuted earlier this year as 'Battlegrounds'. In the latest round of closed alpha testing that took place for a very limited amount of time this weekend, the battle royale mode has been renamed "Realm Royale". While we don't have a ton of details about a lot of the mechanics, the team did provide some new information about the Forging System.
Hi-Rez President Stew Chisam has taken aim at Blizzard's Overwatch over what he perceives as a similarity between a character in Paladins and the newest OW hero, Brigitte Lindohlm. Chisam sent out a tweet with an image comparing Brigitte and the Paladins character, Ash. "If I happened to notice and point out any similarities between these two characters, would that make me the Pot calling the Kettle black or the Kettle calling the Pot black? This will keep me up tonight."
Paladins Executive Producer Chris Larson has penned an extensive 'state of the game' letter for Paladins that addresses several key issues for the game and in the community. Most notably, Larson writes that the controversial game system that came with the Cards Unbound update will be rolled back in favor of a "new system that [he] believe[s] the community will be really excited about".
The latest beta patch has been deployed to Paladins to bring the new Battlegrounds feature to the game. Hi-Rez announced its take on the battle royale genre last month during its fan festival. During a Battlegrounds match, up to 100 players are dropped onto a massive map in a fight to the finish. However, Hi-Rez has added some unique twists to its version of battle royale to set it apart from others.
The Paladins site has been updated with a new FAQ to provide players with a bit more information about the recently-announced Battlegrounds feature that is being introduced to the game in Q1 2018. Battlegrounds are the Paladins-version of Battle Royale and will feature up to 100 players on the map at the same time.
Hi-Rez Studios has released a new trailer called "A Realm Divided" that delves into the lore behind Paladins. Context is always a good thing.
During today's Hi-Rez Expo, the team announced that "a new Battle Royale game mode" is coming to Paladins. Called "Battlegrounds", teams of players will combine both survival game play and fantasy settings to bring a new twist to the ever-growing genre. Battlegrounds matches will last approximately 20 minutes and will see up to 100 players on teams taking part. The last team standing, wins.
Paladins has been updated to bring the newest champion into the game. Her name is Vivian, The Cunning. She's got a wicked Light Machine gun in hand with shields and at least a pair of drones to assist her in battle. In addition, some new skins, emotes and a new digital loot pack have been added to the game.
