Soldier: 76 Disappears...Literally

After the deployment of today's Overwatch patch, players quickly discovered a bug that allowed Soldier: 76 to become invisible if he donned one of his two new costumes, Commando: 76 and Night Ops: 76. From what Blizzard explained on discovering the issue, the hero had to be disabled in game to fix the problem.

Due to the impact of this issue, we've temporarily disabled Soldier: 76 until we can patch in a fix. While not ideal, unfortunately the same issue that's causing the unintended invisibility is also preventing us from disabling the skin on its own.

We're currently working a new patch and hope to have it implemented this week.

In addition to the above, a new competitive play mode was added that allows players to compete and "rank up" through divisions and tiers during monthly seasons. Players must be at least level 25 to begin competitive play.

Progression rewards, penalties for leaving games, technical updates, map balances and hero balance changes have also been addressed.

You can read the full patch notes on the Overwatch site.
