The Overwatch League team Dallas Fuel has announced that it has released controversial team member Felix "xQc" Lengyel after he was suspended by the League for a second time. The first 4-game suspension came after Lengyel made homophobic remarks on a livestream. The second, more recent, suspension "repeatedly used an emote in a racially disparaging manner on the league's stream and on social media and used disparaging language against Overwatch League casters" and fellow players".

Dallas Fuel owner Mike Rufail said of Lengyel's release:

There are few players out there who have achieved as much success in as short a time as Félix has in competitive Overwatch. Ultimately, it was in the best interest of our organization and Félix to part ways before the expiration of his contract. No one wants to see Félix succeed more than we do, and we believe he has a bright future ahead of him. I want to thank him for his time and the passion he brought to the Dallas Fuel.

Lengyel's Twitter now reads "Former main tank for the Dallas Fuel, now full-time streamer. Now xQc can meme and shit talk as much as he wants. He's free now."
