When asked whether or not there would be cross platform play, @PlayOverwatch, the official Overwatch Twitter account, responded by saying that there were none at this time, though the development team would be keeping an eye on console cross platform play. It is possible that XBox One and PlayStation 4 players could take one another on in Overwatch but it remains to be seen when that may happen.
@bickiya There is no cross platform play. We'll keep an eye on cross-platform possibilities on the consoles.

Further, when asked whether console players would be able to compete against PC users, @PlayOverwatch responded:
@bickiya We have no plans for that. Mixing mouse/keyboard and controller can have balance and competitive issues.
